The Hunger Dogs
The Hunger Dogs is a sixty four page graphic novel intended as Kirby's final hurrah with his New Gods concepts. The themes, as with The New Gods, are very much about tyranny, mechanization, dehumanization.
The Hunger Dogs is often confused and muddled, but whether that's a fault of editorial interference, or Kirby's own creative impulses, is hard to say. In that weird, hit and miss, slightly mad Kirby way, there can be a genuine power to the Hunger Dogs. The story is suffused with a bleak melancholy, an apocalyptic aura, a sense this really was Kirby's swan song with the property -- and he meant it. Like the best of Kirby's New Gods run, there are richly dramatic moments, some quite powerful, and a sense that he really is pouring out his heart and soul, that the themes aren't merely pseudo-pretensions to jazz up the action scenes.
Enjoy, and please seed.

The Demon (Volume 1)
The Demon is a fictional character, a superhero and antihero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Created by Jack Kirby, the titular character, named Etrigan, is a demon from Hell who, despite his violent tendencies, usually finds himself allied to the forces of good, mainly because of the alliance between the heroic characters of the DC Universe and Jason Blood, a human to whom Etrigan is bound. Etrigan resembles a squat, muscular humanoid creature with orange (or yellow) skin, horns, red eyes, and ears resembling bat wings. Blood is a tall, thin, suave man with dark red hair and a lined face. The character was originally based in Gotham City, leading to numerous team-ups with Batman.
Even among demons, Etrigan is considered to be extremely powerful. He has above superhuman strength (mystically enhanced) to the degree that he can stand against other powerhouses like Superman, Wonder Woman, and Lobo. He has a high degree of resistance to injury and can project hellfire from his body; usually from his mouth. Other powers include: a very high command of magic, including enhanced fangs and claws; enhanced senses; super speed; agility; telepathy; energy blasts; and precognition. His sadomasochistic nature allows him to enjoy pain as if it were pleasure, making him generally fearless in the face of combat and torture. His healing factor can handle an incredible amount of damage, allowing him to recover from wounds that have removed large sections of his body. As seen in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, it appears that he also has some matter manipulation power on a molecular level. His powers can be extended by other magical devices, such as The Crown of Horns. Etrigan is also provided with insight to religious aspects and other forbidden, or secret knowledge.
Etrigan has all the limitations usually associated with a demon, including a weakness towards holy powers, and iron.
Jack Kirby created the Demon in 1972 inspired by a comic strip of Prince Valiant in which the titular character dressed as a demon. Kirby gave his creation the same appearance as Valiant's mask. According to Mark Evanier, Kirby had no interest in horror comics, but created Etrigan in response to a demand from DC for a horror character. Kirby was annoyed that the first issue sold so well that DC required him to remain on it and abandon the Fourth World titles before he was done with them.
The comic was published from August, 1972 ΓÇô January, 1974, only lasting 16 issues.
This torrent contains the entire 16-issue Volume 1 of this comic book, edited, written and drawn by the inimitable Jack ΓÇ£KingΓÇ¥ Kirby.
Enjoy, and please seed.

Miscellaneous Jack Kirby
KIRBY UNLEASHED: Published by Communicators Unlimited in 1971, this Jack Kirby portfolio is a must have for any collector of anything Kirby.
Originally put together by the King's assistants, Steve Sherman and Mark Evanier, this book is a real smorgasbord of Kirby material: text pieces; original penciled pages; a color gallery; photos; covers; newspaper strips; pin-ups; character sketches, and more!
I cannot imagine any comic artist who benefits more from the treasury format. Kirby's work seems to threaten to break out of the pages of a normal size comic, and the extra space just gave Jack that much more room to put things in.
THE JACK KIRBY TREASURY VOLUME 1: Published in 1982 by Pure Imagination NYC, and written by Greg Theakston, The Jack Kirby Treasury Volume 1 covers the years 1917 to 1948. ItΓÇÖs a black and white publication (with a full color center spread of the unpublished Stuntman series) and includes a plethora of art, and The Jack Kirby Checklist A ΓÇô J. Peruse and enjoy 56 pages covering just part of the life and times of Jack ΓÇ£KingΓÇ¥ KirbyΓÇÖs illustrious career. This is an extraordinary book, but this torrent is only the first of two Kirby treasury volumes printed. If you can find a copy of the 96 page Volume 2 online somewhere, please let me know.
JACK KIRBY QUARTERLY: There was always a special, warm place in my heart for Great BritainΓÇÖs late-lamented Jack Kirby Quarterly... which, even when it was still being published, was anything but quarterly. Still, the JKQ was always a nice companion mag to Jack Kirby Collector, which has often emphasized large-scale reproduction of classic Kirby pencils and art over scholarly analysis. Not so with the JKQ. As is often the case, the Europeans tend to look deeper into our own art forms than do the Americans who invented them. This torrent consists of all the Jack Kirby Quarterly issues I could find, including the spectacular 15th Anniversary issue. (If anyone can find the rest of them, please let me know. I would love to fill in these gaps in my collection.)
JACK KIRBY MASTERWORKS: 11 x 20 oversized. 56 pages. B&W. First published in April, 1979. Features selected pages from the Privateer Press celebration, including many previously unpublished works of Jack Kirby. Front Cover art by Jack Kirby and inked by Walt Simonson.
ORBIT: Jack Kirby was the king of comics, and his impact on entertainment is still being felt today. Read the story of how he started in the slums of New York City, went on to be used by an industry he helped to create, and ended up in the hearts of people worldwide.
Enjoy, and please seed.

Machine Man (Complete)
Machine Man Machine Man (Aaron Stack; Serial Number Z2P45-9-X-51, or X-51, for short) originally appeared in the pages of 2001: A Space Odyssey 8, in July, 1977 (also written and drawn by Jack Kirby.)
Machine Man would go on to appear in a few other popular comics (The Incredible Hulk and The Invincible Iron Man, e.g.) and also in three Volumes of his own, self-titled series: Volume 1 (19 issues,) published from April,1978 ΓÇô February, 1981; Volume 2 (four issues,) published from October, 1984 ΓÇô January, 1985; and Volume 3 (aka X-51) (12 issues,) September, 1999 - July, 2000.
This title featured Machine Man entering the mainstream Marvel Universe. Jack Kirby wrote and drew the first nine issues, which dealt with the title character's status as a fugitive from the military after the death of his creator, and his first interactions with mankind.
The Volume 2 series was written by Tom DeFalco, with Windsor-Smith coloring. This series turned out to be one of the most popular of all the Machine Man titles, tying with previous continuity, but with the action set in the distant cyberpunk future of 2020, starting with Machine Man's reassembly. (This miniseries was re-published in 1994 as two double-size books, under the name, Machine Man 2020.)
Volume 3 gave Machine Man a programming malfunction in that he would uncontrollably attack any mutant he came across. He was given a drastically more robotic look and his powers were vastly changed.
Machine Man was constructed by unnamed computer engineering specialists under Dr. Oliver Broadhurst at the Broadhurst Center for the Advancement of Mechanized Research; Dr. Abel Stack was his chief programmer. Machine Man's robotic materials, design, and construction (titanium alloy) provide him with a number of abilities, as does his adamantium composition. He possesses superhuman strength, speed, stamina, durability, and reflexes. He is an expert on his own construction and repair. Machine Man has superhuman visual acuity. He possesses an above normal intellect, with a capacity for unlimited self-motivated activity, creative intelligence, and human-like emotions. He has superhuman, cybernetic analytical capabilities, including the ability to process information and make calculations with superhuman speed and accuracy.
Machine Man is powered by solar energy. He can also draw power from several different external energy sources, if needed. Machine Man has the ability to telescope his arms and legs to a length of 100 feet. Machine Man's hands are equipped with variable payload fingers, some routinely carried in his fingers, other stored in hidden recesses in his belt. His fingers contain a different variety of weapons: gas chromatograph; laser interferometer; micro-pulse radar; audiometer; seismometer; gravity wave detector; pulse-code modulator; standard computer input/outputs; radio beacon; all-wave transceiver; laser cutting torch/weapon; and can project heat, cold, or electricity. One of his fingers has been shown to contain a bullet-firing mechanism that uses .357 Magnum ammunition. He has the ability of flight under his own power through the means of anti-gravity disks.
During the X-51 series, Machine Man had a few extra features thanks to nanotechnology within him at the time. This mainly included parts of himself being rebuilt if damaged, also causing many changes in his look from issue to issue. He also had a beam cannon on his chest.
In 1979, Machine Man appeared in a story arc within the pages of The Incredible Hulk issues 235-237. Machine Man appears in a flashback to Iron Man v1 #168 (March, 1983) in Iron Man/Captain America: Casualties of War. And in 1990, Machine Man guest-starred in Iron Man Annual 11 (part of the "Terminus Factor" storyline http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7534801/The_Terminus_Factor ). These appearances are also included in this torrent.
Enjoy, and please seed.
